After my period at Berkeley in 2000/01, I discovered flip flops. In summer time I would use them every day but, unfortunately, I'm not allowed to use them at my office. I probably would use them in winter time too, but the fact that they are not compatible with socks complicate a little bit the job (here, in winter time, socks are needed because weather is quiet cold). However my sister in law gave me a very nice and appreciated gift: tabi socks. They come from Japan (another country where flip flops are very popular) and their peculiarity is that the big toe zone is separated from the one of other toes, thus being compatible with flip flops. So next winter it will be cool to wear tabi socks with flip flop. Thanks a lot Luisa!!!!!
