Today, in the afternoon, with my friend Marco, we went to Mountain View (the google's place) and in particular we visited the
Shoreline park. Wheater was pretty good, as you can see.Coming back we stopped at
Costco, a very big store selling also good italian groceries, like the panettone you can see in the picture.

Looking at the photo (btw, nice picture if I'm not wrong you took it with your phone...) it seems that panettones "Madi" look very similar to our italian "Maina"... have you noticed the curious similarity in the package graphics???
P.S.
A curious question from my wife: how much is a panettone in the us???
By the way, on the bottom of the box the brand name was Maina!!!!!!
About the cost, I don't know because, as you know, I'm on diet.....
However I will ask my friend Marco (he is not on diet....)
So, They called it "Madi" because "Maina" would sound like "Mayne"??? My god...
BTW, can you already buy panettone in Italy ?
Don't remember the cost, but I think $7 to $9
Uhm... The panettone is relatively cheap, considering the dollar/euro change... But in Italy panettone has not appeared in supermakets yet... Maybe those you've found are the remains of the last christmas...

Matteo, Marco, it is nice that two italian guys discuss about panettone in english...
Nooo... You've revealed my secret identity calling me Matteo! How will I save the world now???
